Grand Opening Events Will Include Ribbon Cutting, Donation to SafeNet,
Product Demonstrations and More
ERIE, Pa.-To stay ahead of growing demand for its products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's wireless leader in customer loyalty, will officially celebrate the grand opening of its newest Communications Store in Erie with an array of activities on Saturday, September 15.
As part of the grand opening celebration, Verizon Wireless will make a $1,000 donation to SafeNet of Erie, a local organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence. Event activities include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a radio remote broadcast with WRTS-FM and the kickoff of the Communication Store's special monthlong phone drive to collect no-longer-used wireless handsets and accessories for the company's award-winning HopeLineŽ program. For every handset collected at the Erie store between September 15 and October 15, Verizon Wireless will contribute $5 to SafeNet.
In addition to the grand opening activities, consumers will have the opportunity to sample the latest in wireless technology including the MOTO Q music 9m, available exclusively through Verizon Wireless. This sleek device includes a dedicated multimedia interface that offers
V CAST Music capabilities, and the productivity capabilities of its predecessor-the Motorola Q-in one thin black and red package.
"The opening of this new store demonstrates our commitment to provide our customers with increased convenience, an accessible, knowledgeable sales staff and our latest wireless devices," said Roger Tang, president-Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region, Verizon Wireless. "Demand for our wireless products and services continues to grow as more consumers take advantage of our recent network expansion in this area."
The new 4,000-square-foot store is Verizon Wireless' second retail location in Erie. Store Manager Michael Held will oversee a staff of 16 full-time employees.
Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m.-7:00 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information about the Erie store, call 814-866-5966.
